History Check Page |
When you select this action after entering your registration you will be able to see the FULL MOT history of the vehicle, passes and fails.

The page is composed of separate sections. Each section is contain beneath a collapsible blue header, by touching / clicking the arrow on the button you can control what you see, as little or as much as you want to scroll through. Initally the only open section is the Mileage records, the top section contains the details for the vehicle.
Initially visible: Vehicle Information
This will be the first thing you see, it will confirm the vehicle details you entered plus all of the other available data about it, including the total number of tests the car has taken.
Vehicle Information Quick View
You will see the CAR-REG and then a simple chart will show the year-on-year mileage as well as the years driven per year. This will help you see if either:
- It has done even mileage through its lifetime.
- It has spiked heavily, implying a possible change of owner has has driven it much harder.

Just to make it clearer, after this chart is text table that shows the same information in cleaner tabular form. Please note that the first mileage entry can be high if the car was driven a lot in the first three years, as no MOT test is required on new vehicles for that period of time.

Failed Tests
This section shows you every single failed test, most recent one at the top. To see the contents of the test, you touch / click the red button bar and it will expand to show you the full details of the test.

Passed Tests
This section shows you every single failed test, most recent one at the top. To see the contents of the test, you touch / click the red button bar and it will expand to show you the full details of the test.

This is a small sample of a failed test, this is also what a passed test display looks like too! All we have done is grouped them together as fails and passes so you can quickly form an opinion on the cars life.

All Unique Defects
This shows all recorded defects for every test taken! This is a good way to see how many times the vehicle has failed over time, sometimes a repeated failure can indicate structural issues for example.

The left column shows the level of defect, then the Seen column shows which years that defect was seen, and finally you can see the description as registered by the MOT testing station. If a defect occurs several years in a row this can indicate something, possibly expensive, is wearing out and may need replacing soon!
All Tests
This shows all tests ever taken, most recent first. This allows you to see the overall ups and downs of the cars life.
